Tungsten carbide rods

Characteristic: Composite rods consisting of fragments of SINTERED TUNGSTEN CARBIDE in a ductile matrix of nickel-silver alloy.

Application: Oxy-acetylene welding on downhole reamers, openers, milling tools, fisching tools, overshots, coring tools.

Is applied to perform one or both of two functions: one, to increase the speed of downhole milling and cutting; and two, to protect the surface of tools subject to abrasive wear, maintaining full guage on stabilizers, guides keyseat wipers, and other downhole tools.

The sintered tungsten carbide particles used in our product are of the highest steel cutting quality. These carbide particles are crushed, treated and carefuly graded for size and consistency.

The tough, resilient matrix that holds the carbides in suspension in the composite rod has an ultimate tensile strength of 100,000 psi.
